Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
